ShieldCortex Cloud Is Live — Free Team Dashboard for AI Agent Security
Today we're launching ShieldCortex Cloud — a centralised dashboard for your existing ShieldCortex scans. See every threat your AI agents face, across every project, in one place.
If you're already running ShieldCortex locally, Cloud is a single command away. If you're new here, you can be up and running in under two minutes.
Why Cloud Matters
ShieldCortex has always been local-first. Your defence pipeline runs on your machine, scans happen instantly, and nothing leaves your environment unless you want it to. That's by design — security should never depend on an internet connection.
But local-only has a blind spot: visibility.
Your team can't see threats if they're stuck on your laptop. When your AI agent blocks a prompt injection at 3am, your security team should know about it. When a developer on the other side of the office hits a novel attack pattern, everyone benefits from seeing it. When you're running agents across multiple projects and machines, you need a single pane of glass.
Cloud makes local defence visible. It doesn't replace anything — your scans still run locally, your defence pipeline still works offline. Cloud adds the layer that turns individual protection into team-wide awareness.
Think of it this way: ShieldCortex is the firewall. Cloud is the SOC dashboard.
What You Get Free
We believe every team should have visibility into their AI agent security posture. That's why the free tier is genuinely useful, not a trial with a countdown timer.
- 500 scans per month — enough for most individual developers and small teams
- Cloud audit logs — 7-day retention, fully searchable
- Threat timeline — see blocked threats, quarantined content, and trust score trends over time
- Real-time dashboard — scan results appear within seconds of your local agent triggering them
No credit card. No trial expiry. Free means free.
How to Get Started
Workstations take two commands. Headless servers need one more.
Step 1: Create a free Cloud account — sign in with just your email at the dashboard. For teams, servers, and fleets, contact sales@drakonsystems.com for Enterprise, or see pricing.
Step 2: Copy your API key from the dashboard and run:
Step 3: Verify the machine is actually enrolled.
Run shieldcortex license status, shieldcortex config --cloud-status, and shieldcortex service status. In the Cloud dashboard, online means a recent ShieldCortex heartbeat, not just that the machine is powered on.
A local scan's Cloud audit row is metadata: verdicts, scores, threat labels, and source and device names, not the scanned text. Memory sync is separate and needs an Enterprise licence. Where it runs, PUBLIC and INTERNAL memory titles and content are sent unless you set content mode to metadata. The defence pipeline still runs locally if Cloud is unreachable.
Beyond the Free Tier
Editor's note (July 2026): self-serve paid tiers have been retired. Everything beyond the free tier is now part of ShieldCortex Enterprise.
For teams that need more, Enterprise covers:
- Team invites — bring your security team, your engineering leads, whoever needs visibility
- Custom scan quotas and audit retention — full forensic trail for compliance and incident response
- Fleet and device management — Device Doctor, incident replay, and verification across every machine
- Dedicated support + SLA — direct access to the team building ShieldCortex
Enterprise is designed for teams that have moved past experimenting with AI agents and are now running them in production. Contact sales@drakonsystems.com.
Works With Every Agent Framework
ShieldCortex Cloud works with OpenClaw, Claude Code, Cortex, and any agent framework that uses ShieldCortex locally. If your agent already runs ShieldCortex, Cloud works out of the box. No code changes, no new SDKs, no configuration beyond that single CLI command.
The sync is fire-and-forget — it never blocks your agent's operations. If Cloud is unreachable, your local defence pipeline continues working exactly as normal. When connectivity returns, sync resumes automatically.
This was a deliberate design choice. Your security layer should never be a single point of failure. Local-first, cloud-enhanced.
